Build a Wiredrive-powered website using media RSS

Marina Del Rey, CA. – Wiredrive, the web platform for managing media production and presenting finished work, announced today that Wiredrive customers now have a simple way to connect their Wiredrive content to their marketing site. Wiredrive RSS feeds have been updated to follow the media RSS (mRSS) specification. Media RSS feeds allow web developers to integrate Wiredrive content into a website that Wiredrive system users can easily update without help form the developer.

What is mRSS?

MRSS safely syndicates QuickTime videos, image files and Wiredrive credits in an easy-to-parse format that a trained web designer can use to integrate into your website. “Just about any web designer can take the raw data fed through the mRSS link and design a website,” said Wiredrive Creative Director David Funkhouser who is charged with leveraging the creative possibilities of the Wiredrive platform. “This is an important update because you can take raw data and style it in any way. You’re not locked into any type of design.”

What are the benefits of mRSS?

MRSS gives you tighter integration between your website and Wiredrive. Updating your mRSS-powered website is now as simple as adding, removing or re-ordering files in Wiredrive. You also have the freedom to present your work in any number of ways.
